Dennis and I took our dog, Jazz, to the vet for her shots a few weeks ago.
After the appointment, we met his brother at our favorite coffee shop and sat on the patio with Jazz.
Jazz is very extroverted and loves to meet new people. We had a nice chat with the neighborhood folks.
Then we drove down Grand View Drive to see the panoramic Worlds Most Beautiful Drive.
Teddy Roosevelt named it when he traveled through here. Honest he did. Our local radio station call letters became WMBD. You can Google it if you don't believe me.
We took a few turns and found some really cute places in the hills of the Illinois River valley.
Like this one. I wonder who lives there? Goldy Locks?
Here is another cute design right out of a story book. If I was writing a story about this little place I'd call the book, "Grandpa's." My grandpa loved to garden, and he was a painter. He painted houses and farm buildings. Grandpa saved all the half empty paint cans and used them to paint things at his home. He had some interesting color combinations on his little wooden house in Buda, Il.
Look at the whirly giggy.
Look at the very neat little row of planted pots along the front of the greenhouse.
Further down the road I saw this adorable little fence. Love the roses cascading over the pickets.
By this time Jazz was laying down in the back seat of the van, fast asleep. We drank all our coffee so we headed home. What a fun little outing.
